The lively Cours Julien is worth a visit, as is the Ch\u00e2teau d’If, the setting for Alexandre Dumas’ Count of Monte Cristo. Set against the Sainte-Victoire mountain, it oscillates between modernity and the refinement of a 19th century Provencal town where Paul C\u00e9zanne was born.<\/p>\n

It is good to enjoy the shaded terraces of the Cours Mirabeau between fountains and pastry shops full of calissons. Discover Aix in a beautiful way by taking the route linking the family home and the studio of the painter who is the city’s emblem. In Baux-de-Provence, you will be delighted to linger in front of the typical Provencal market stalls with their scents of garrigue.<\/p>\n
